Lessons from the Mayan Way with Elder and Shaman Lina Barrios

Can the teachings of indigenous cultures help us lead healthier, happier and more peaceful lives? Are the ancient traditions of the Maya still relevant in modern times? Lessons from the Mayan Way will explore what the centuries-old philosophies and spirituality of the Mayan culture can teach us about personal development, family and community.  In this talk hosted by Spirit Connection, Lina Barrios will explore the living Mayan traditions, and their relevance in our 21st century world, for society and for each of us personally.

Prior to Lina's talk, we will welcome and honor her with drumming starting at 6:00 pm.  Experience the power and beauty of the mother drum.  Lina's talk will begin at 7:30.  This event is open to the public.  Donations appreciated.
