Home for the Holidays with Santa & Cherokee County Animal Shelter

Cherokee County Animal Shelter is pulling out all the stops and combining our annual Holiday Open House with a Home for the Holidays Sale 10am-4pm Adopt a pet for FREE and a visit from Santa!

Santa will be starting the morning off with a Pancake Breakfast from 8am to 10am across the street from the shelter in the Malon D. Mimms Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium hosted by the Cherokee County Interact Club . In order to help fill the shelter's pet food pantry for owned pets in need in our community, breakfast is FREE with a donation of any brand/size DRY dog or cat food, clay (non-clumping) cat litter or monetary donation.

Photos can be taken with Santa with your own camera or by the shelter photographer for a $5 donation per downloadable digital image. Please feel free to bring children or pets for a photo with Santa but be sure to keep pets on a leash or in a secure carrier at all times.

Photos with Santa will be taken at the Shelter after 10AM. Sorry, but Pets are not allowed at the pancake breakfast.

Plan to spend the first December weekend with Santa and Cherokee County Animal Shelter pets. Stop in to meet a new friend for your family, come by for breakfast with the big guy, or just SHARE this great event with friends so that all the animals may have a Home for the Holidays.

*Adoptions will still include the regular valuable services; spaying or neutering, microchipping, initial vaccinations, flea/tick treatment, deworming, heart worm test for adult dogs, leukemia test for adult cats, sample bag of pet food and a free office visit at a local participating veterinarian.
