Local High School to Share Production at Canton Theatre

The River Ridge High School theater department will be bringing "Almost, Maine" to the Canton Theater in downtown Canton on February 2-3 before returning to their home stage on February 6.

Mr. Rob Fields, fourteen year teaching veteran, and the River Ridge High School theater department, shares their upcoming production of Almost, Maine.

Located in the southern area of Cherokee County, this production is an excellent opportunity to stay local, and support our local arts. Almost, Maine will be playing on the River Ridge High School stage, a nearly six hundred seat theater that opened with the school in 2009. Written in 2004 by John Cariani, Almost, Maine is a romantic comedy for the whole family.

The play is going on the road, all the way to The historic Canton Theatre! The historic Canton Theatre dates are February 2, 2012, at 7:30 PM, and then again on February 3, 2012, for a matinee at 2:30 PM.

After that, the groups returns to their home stage for their final performance, at River Ridge High School on February 6, at 7:PM, for $5 a ticket. The play runs approximately one hundred minutes, with a fifteen minute intermission. The Canton theatre ticket prices are $10. The theatre is located in historic downtown Canton. With less than 200 seats, this is the perfect intimate setting to take your special someone on an early Valentine's Day date!
