Woman Shot in Attempted Carjacking - Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A woman was shot in the thigh early Tuesday during an attempted carjacking in southwest Atlanta, police said.

The victim told police that she was at the gate to the Villages at Castleberry Hill apartments on Greensferry Avenue about 2:15 a.m., “attempting to call her friend to buzz her in the complex,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Atlanta Police Arrested Suspected 'Buckhead Bandit' - Buckhead Patch

Atlanta police say they have arrested the suspect dubbed the 'Buckhead Bandit' and charged him in five business robberies in the Midtown and Buckhead area, according to Sgt. Greg Lyon.

The suspect, William Berry, 37, has been charged with the following armed robberies: Walgreens at 2983 Peachtree Road on Jan. 6; RadioShack at 2625 Piedmont Road on Jan. 7 Mattress Firm at 2625 Piedmont Road on Jan. 11; Walgreens at 2893 Peachtree Road on Jan. 23 and Subway at 2418 Marietta Boulevard on Jan. 28. Murder Conviction Upheld In Snellville Target Murder Case - Snellville Patch

In May 2011, Gwinnett County jurors found a Joanna Hayes guilty in the killing of her daughter-in-law.

Production Company To Film TV Pilot in Norcross - Norcross Patch

In a special called meeting Monday, the Norcross City Council approved the permit application for a production company to film a TV show pilot in the downtown area.
