Water Main Break Causes Boil Water Advisory

The water main along Marietta Street broke at approximately 8 p.m. Monday.

Residents along Marietta Road in Canton will have to deal with a boil water advisory in the wake of a water main break which occurred on Monday evening.

According to the City of Canton, the water main along Marietta Road burst at around 8 p.m. Monday, shutting down the road between Cartersville Street and Harmon Circle until further notice.

Residents that live off of Hickory Flat Highway between Marietta Highway and Marietta Road can expect disruptions and even loss of water services until the main is repaired. Following the restoration of service, a boil water advisory will be in effect until further notice.
