Several Fulton County water and sewer customers have recently reported being the targets of a scam, say county officials. Individuals, pretending to be calling on behalf of Fulton County water and sewer billing, have contacted local residents claiming that they need immediate payment over the phone in order to avoid service disconnection. Johns Creek Patch has more on this story. 

Jmaal Malik Keyes Case: Human Remains Found Near Murder Suspect's Home - South Cobb Patch

Human remains have been found near the home of Robert Kane Rolison, the 17-year-old Middle Georgia State College student who was arrested last week in connection with the death of a fellow student from Austell.

The remains were found at a Hawkinsville site last week, and the GBI will run tests to see if they belong to Jmaal Malik Keyes, according toWMAZ-TV in Macon. South Cobb Patch has more on this story.

SWAT Team Moved in to Capture Man Holding Kidnapped and Beaten Ex-Girlfriend - Sandy Springs Patch

A Sandy Springs apartment complex was the center of activity for several hours overnight, Monday, as police and North Metro SWAT gathered to free a woman allegedly being held by her ex-boyfriend.

A Dallas woman arrested in connection with a robbery and high-speed chase that forced authorities Monday afternoon to temporarily shut down Interstate 75 in both directions faces a new charge.

Ancely Faye Green, 39, was arrested Monday on a charge of armed robbery, said Officer Mike Bowman with the Cobb County Police Department. According to a Cobb County criminal warrant, she now faces an additional charge of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony offense. Dallas-Hiram Patch has more on this story.
