Morning Briefing: This is Halloween!

No tricks this morning, only treats of info you need to have a great Halloween Wednesday!

1. Weather: The National Weather Service expects sunny skies over Canton today, with highs around 56 degrees. Skies will be mostly clear tonight for trick or treating, but make sure everyone's bundled up! Temperatures tonight may dip to as low as 32 degrees.

2. In Case You Missed It: Areas on and surrounding Riverstone Parkway are under a boil water advisory this morning and possibly lasting until this afternoon. The advisory was issued due to a water main break late Tuesday. Read which streets and local businesses are affected by the advisory.

Remember those young men who were shoplifting electronics from Target? Well, some of you guys identified one of the suspects in the surveillance videos and he turned himself in last Friday. Contact the Canton Police Department if you recognize the other suspects.

3. Happening Now: Are your Halloween costumes ready? If so, take a quick picture of you or your kids all dressed up and submit it to Patch's Best Halloween Costume in America Contest! The grand prize winner will earn $5,000 for their trouble!

Worried about what you're going to do with the excess candy you inevitably have after tonight's fun? Donate it to this local dentist and get some cash back, and let your surplus be sent overseas to bring smiles to the faces of our men and women in uniform.

4. Looking Ahead: Even if you're not about to get all dressed up with your kids tonight, you'll probably want to know if any houses along your trick or treat route are inhabited by sex offenders. Find a complete list of registered sex offenders in Canton at 8 a.m.

5. On This Date in History: On Oct. 31, 1517, it is traditionally believed that Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. This action would mark the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.
