Morning Briefing: Local Church Needs Donations

1. Weather: Foggy morning weather is continuing for some Canton residents this morning. According to the National Weather Service, the fog should burn off by 9 a.m. and give way to a high temperature of 60 degrees. Tonight's low will be 33 degrees.

2. In Case You Missed It: A Creekview High School teacher has been arrested for allegedly having a three month sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. The teacher was reassigned by the school district Wednesday morning and turned himself in Wednesday evening. He is being held without bond.

3. Happening Now: Hillside Community Church is in desperate need of donations for the church's giving programs. The church has provided a list of items they are in need of and how you can help make Christmas better for fellow Cherokee County residents.

4. Looking Ahead: We all know cigarettes are expensive, but if you're goig to smoke it still makes more sense to buy them than to steal them. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office caught a trio of cigarette thieves Wednesday morning, but come back at 10 a.m. to find out what else they had on them.
