Meet Your New Local Editor

Justin Ove has been in charge of Canton-Sixes Patch since Monday.

In case you hadn't noticed, there is a new face up at the top-left corner of the webpage. It's my face!

My name is Justin Ove, and I am the new Local Editor for Canton-Sixes Patch! I am stepping in where Rodney Thrash left off, as he has relocated to take over Kennesaw Patch. I hope all the Canton-Sixes readers will be as supportive of me and the site as they were under Rodney's excellent tenure. I also want to wish Rodney the best of luck in his new city!

Just a little background on me: I graduated in 2010 from Georgia State with a BA in Journalism. I was hired by Patch to freelance in Acworth in November, 2010 and for 18 months I covered city council meetings, car shows and tornados in Acworth and surrounding communities, including Canton-Sixes.

I became the Local Editor of Northeast Cobb Patch in June, 2012. I helped build the site's presence on social media and tried to get out and meet as many citizens as I could and tell them what Patch is about.

With my move to Canton, I expect to do much of the same. I've already been in the community meeting people, and have forged connections with city and county officials as well as residents of Canton and Cherokee County. I look forward to continuing this process.

I'm excited to be taking on the challenge of running such a successful and important site, and ask for your support and continued participation in your Patch. We can't do it without you!

Thanks, and I hope to meet you soon!

-Justin
