Hydrant Replacement Causes Outage, Boil Water Advisory

Service should be restored around 2 p.m., but a boil water advisory will follow.

Replacement of a broken fire hydrant has caused a water service disruption and will cause a boil water advisory for a small part of Canton.

Residents of Jeannette Street, Hospital Circle, and Cherokee Street are currently without water service due to the hydrant replacement.

The City of Canton expects the work to be completed and service restored by 2 p.m., but says that a boil water advisory will be in effect for the affected areas once the water comes back on.

The advisory will be in place until further notice, the city says.
