Cherokee Fresh Market Needs Vendors, Managers

An interest meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday April 6 at Buckeye Creek Farm in Hickory Flat.

Those who want to sell their homemade goods to the public can make plans to participate in the Cherokee Fresh Market.

The market's organizers will hold a vendor meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday April 6 at Buckeye Creek Farm at 2115 Jep Wheeler Road near Woodstock. 

The first Saturday Open House Market will follow the meeting between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., so those who are interested in participating should bring produce or other items to sell.

Organizers of the market will discuss the upcoming opening date, hours of operations and possible special events that will focus on pies, tractors, bees, peaches, apples or watermelons. 

The meeting will also discuss the need for market managers during the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

Cherokee Fresh Market is held at the Cagle Family Farm in Hickory Flat. Sponsored by the Cherokee County Farm Bureau Women's Committee, the market allows vendors to sell local produce, hand crafted items, plants and home baked goods.
