Chi Xi Chapter Home School Honor Society – accepting applications

Deadline: Wednesday, August 21 midnight for 2013-14 school year

                (There will be enrollment in August 2014 for the following school year)

What to do:

1)     E-mail a scanned copy of your child's eligible scores (as defined below) to Freya Fitzpatrick (pippi_lotta3@yahoo.com) before the deadline.

2)     Be available to attend the first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 3:45 pm at GA-EPH 1370 Lockhart Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30144. (If you cannot scan, contact me for mailing address. Scores must be received by deadline.)

Membership requirements

a.     Members must be homeschooled

b.    Junior High School Honor Society members must be in 7th or 8th grade as reflected by their eligible test scores.

c.     High School Honor Society members must be in 9-12th grade as reflected by their eligible test scores.

d.    Test Scores:

              i.    Members must submit at least one of the following scores to a club sponsor

              1.     At least 90% score on the composite battery on the IOWA or Stanford Test

              2.     At least 1800 on the SAT

              3.     At least 180 on the PSAT

              4.     At least 26 combined ACT score

e.     Members must attend at least 75% of quarterly meetings. 2 (50%) of these must be attended in person

f.     Members are required to do 10 hours of service

g.    Members must pay $5/year in dues

              i.    If a member does not attend at least one class/year through GA-EPH, they must pay an extra $35/year ($40 total) for insurance purposes.
