The Right Wing Tavern

Overview: The Right Wing Tavern is a uniquely themed restaurant in historic downtown Woodstock. It’s in an old train depot and has a modern twist on right-wing politics. It’s a fun place to meet on the weekends, and people love the concept and the atmosphere. The restaurant has 140 seats with a full bar and outdoor seating. It has trivia night on Sundays.

Décor: The historic building in which the restaurant is set has a wonderful architectural past. It has been renovated but keeps its history. There are many political signs and fun facts covering the walls. On the weekends, this place is packed with patrons ready to have fun. It's nice to sit outside and watch the passing trains. The outdoor patio is covered during colder nights.

Entrée: The menu offers many choices, all with political names poking fun at certain people and events. The chicken wings come in many flavors and make a great start to a meal. The entrees range from burgers to flounder stuffed with crab meat. The Cajun-inspired dirty shrimp pasta and the soy and local honey sesame chicken are delicious. Entrees range from $10 to $15. Lunch specials are available during the week.

Service: Service is friendly. The restaurant gets crowded on the weekends, so be prepared to wait a while and have a drink at the bar.

Hours: The Right Wing Tavern is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
