Get Out: Open Mic Night

Might be the dog days of summer, but there's still plenty to do around town.

Why Go: Showcase that talent you've been hiding, in front of a live— but friendly—audience. Sponsored by , you never know what an open mic night might be. Singing, drama, visual arts or poetry could be on tap for the night. Coffee is available for a donation. You can sign up in advance or just sign up when you get there, bring friends and family or go it alone and meet new friends.

Why Go: You will learn how to create a nocturnal paradise in your own backyard for relaxing and entertaining after the sun goes down. Seating is limited so call ahead to reserve a spot.

Why Go: Celebrate the lazy hazy days of summer with a trip to the farm for hayrides, tours, and to see, pet and feed all the miniature animals that call Tanglewood their home.

Pricing: $10; infants admitted free. Last tickets are sold one hour before closing time.

Why Go: This is a free dental service for low-income or no-income adults who are in need of basic routine dental work. The clinic will operate on a first come, first served basis. Why Go: You won't want to miss the southern rock/R&B sounds of this Georgia Music Hall of Fame group. From their 70's hit Keep On Smilin' to the very bluesy notes of Macon Hambone Blues and Red Hot Chicken, Wet Willie will rock downtown Woodstock Saturday night.
