Singing, cleaning and spinning gold into cash are a few suggestions for the weekend in Canton.

Why Go: It's Cherokee County's first off-leash dog park.

Why Go: Georgia law says Fido and Fluffy must be vaccinated against rabies if they are at least three months old. This one day annual event is a community service project sponsored by Cherokee County 4-H and .

5. SCRAP GOLD SALE

Where/When: , 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Why Go: Turn your old scrap gold into cash. Receive full market value and the library benefits, too.

6. CLEAN UP AT THE ROCK BARN

Where/When: The Rock Barn, Sunday and Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: It's much more fun to clean someone else's house and yard. Get out and do some community service for a great Canton landmark.

7. UNIVERSITY SPRING CONCERT

Where/When: Falany Performing Arts Center at Reinhardt University, 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Why Go: End your Monday on a good note and enjoy some great music by the university symphony orchestra, under the direction of Dr. David Gregory.
