Winter Storm: What's Open and What's Closed in Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs?

As forecasters warn of snow turning to hazardous ice, cancelations are starting to come in.

Cherokee County Schools

From the district's website: Pursuant to Governor Deal’s continuation and expansion of a weather-related State of Emergency, which includes Cherokee County, and based upon current conditions and weather forecast models provided by the National Weather Service and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, the Superintendent has closed CCSD schools and offices for Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014.  
 
Stay tuned to local news stations, the school system's social media channels (Twitter and Facebook) and the CCSD website at www.cherokee.k12.ga.us for updates relative to any subsequent school closings for this week.

Canton

City of Canton Offices will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 12, says the city website.

Also, Canton Municipal Court has been rescheduled for Feb. 19 at 9 a.m.

Woodstock

Woodstock City Offices are closed on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 due to inclement weather. Future closings to be determined/announced tomorrow afternoon. 
• The William G. Long Senior Center will be closed on Tuesday, February 11th, Wednesday, February 12th and Thursday, February 13th
• The Woodstock Towne Hall Meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 13th at 7 pm at Magnolia Hall has been CANCELLED
• The Woodstock Municipal Court Session scheduled for Tuesday, February 11th has been CANCELLED and has been RESCHEDULED for March 6, 2014 at 5:30 pm.

Holly Springs

Due to the threat of inclement weather and Governor Deal declaring a state of emergency, the February 11th municipal court has been rescheduled to March 25, 2014.
