What's Closed on the Fourth of July

We have your list of what offices and services will be closed on Thursday in observance of Independence Day.

All federal, state and local government offices and banking institutions will be closed on Thursday in observance of Independence Day.

The cities of WoodstockCantonHolly SpringsWaleskaBall Ground and the Cherokee County government will be closed for the holiday. 

In addition, Waste Management will not collect garbage for Woodstock and Canton residents on Thursday. Trash removal services will resume in those cities on Friday. 

The Cherokee County Tax Commissioners' offices will also be closed on Thursday for the holiday as well as the five Cherokee branches of the Sequoyah Regional Library System.

The Cherokee Area Transportation System buses will also not run on Thursday and the county's two recycling centers will also shutter its facilities.

Cherokee County School District offices will be closed, as well as offices at Cherokee Charter Academy, Reinhardt University and Chattahoochee Technical College

United States Post Offices will also be closed on Thursday and mail will not be delivered.

City and county offices, schools, banks and all post offices will resume regular operating hours on Friday and regular mail delivery will resume on that day.
