The Cherokee County Historical Society will host two racing enthusiasts to share what they've discovered about the sport in Georgia in a program later this month.
Mike Bell, one of the founders of the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame Association, and Eddie Samples, racing historian and son of stock car racer Ed Samples, will present their research during the society's The Early Days of Racing in Georgia program.
The program starts at 7 p.m. Tuesdsay, June 17 at the Rock Barn in Canton.
The two men will share stories of the early years of NASCAR and dirt track racing in north Georgia, including Cherokee County.
