Rabid Raccoon Attacked Dog
The attack occurred May 3 at a residence on Hightower Trail in Ball Ground.
A raccoon that recently attacked a local dog tested positive for rabies, the Cherokee County Environmental Health Department announced this afternoon.
The attack occurred May 3 at a residence on Hightower Trail in Ball Ground.
There was no human exposure, and since the dog was current on its rabies vaccination, only a 45-day home quarantine is required.
