Morning Briefing: What Are Cherokee's Summer School Options?

1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies for Canton today, with a high temperature of 77 degrees. Tonight, expect a low temperature of 56 degrees and mostly clear skies.

5. On This Date in History: On May 14, 1787, the Constitutional Convention began in Philadelphia. The delegates to the convention worked for more than three months to develop a system of government to replace the Articles of Confederation. On Sept. 17, 1787, the Constitution of the United States was adopted, but it would not be ratified until March 4, 1789.
