1. Weather: Cloudy skies are in the mix for Canton today, according to the National Weather Service. Despite the lack of sun, we will still have a high temperature of around 71 degrees today. Tonight, the clouds will persist and the temperature will drop to a low of about 56 degrees.

5. On This Date in History: On May 2, 1611, the first printing of the official King James Version of The Bible was completed. The seven-year process of creating the new version was spurred on by the Puritan faction of the Church of England. The "standard text" of the King James Bible was not decided upon until 1769.
