Hearing on Sunday Alcohol Sales Set

1. Taking the first baby step toward putting Sunday alcohol sales on a ballot this November, decided Tuesday to have a public hearing on the issue June 21. Click for Holly Roberson's recap of Tuesday's meeting.

2. Tuesday morning, families gathered outside the Capitol to protest a state Supreme Court ruling that could derail plans for Cherokee Charter Academy's and 15 other charters approved by the Georgia Charter Schools Commission. Cherokee County parents were at the rally. Click for their story. And come back at 10 a.m. for a letter to the editor from Kelly Marlow, whose two children were among the 995 students who earned spots in the school's inaugural class during a May 14 lottery.
