The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, is well worth the three-and-a-half hour drive. Guests are invited to visit the historic home of George Vanderbilt. The 250-room mansion covers four acres of floor space. Guests can stroll through the palatial home on a self-guided tour or, for a nominal fee take an audio-guided tour.
