Cherokee Wants Easter Baskets For Needy Children

Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency is teaming up with the fire department for its Some Bunny Special initiative.

Two Cherokee County agencies are teaming up to deliver Easter baskets for less fortunate children.

The Cherokee Recreation and Parks agency is partnering with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services for its Some Bunny Special intiative, which will deliver Easter baskets to less fortunate children.

The program will run between March 10 and April 12, and the goal is to reach 300 children.

All baskets must be pre-filled and can be dropped off at any Cherokee fire station. Residents may purchase a basket or create one with their own personal touch, including Easter-related items.

For a full list of fire stations accepting baskets, visit CRPA's website, call (770) 924-7768 or email Lindsey Collett at lcollett@cherokeega.com,
