UPDATE: Lost Dogs Returned to Owner

The dogs were discovered in Barnett Park on Tuesday after escaping from their owner's home across the street.

UPDATE (3:20 p.m.): The two dogs discovered by the Canton Police Department and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office in Barnett Park Tuesday afternoon have been returned to their owner.

The dogs, Reagan and Palin, escaped from their owner's yard and made it across the street to the park, where they were discovered by officers conducting a K-9 training exercise.

"[T]ime for a new gate!" wrote the owner, identified only as "cs," on Patch.

The Canton Police Department needs your help reuniting two dogs with their owners after they were discovered in Barnett Park Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Facebook post on the department's official account, officers with the Canton Police Department and the Cherokee Sheriff's Office discovered the pair of pups while they were training their own dogs.
