Camping for Chicken

The first hundred people outside the store this morning won one free meal a week for the next year.

Correction: According to the official contest rules, the first 100 people who showed up the morning before the grand opening (e.g. this morning) were entered into a drawing to be among the lucky hundred getting free meals.

Original Story:
Loyal Canton-Sixes Patch reader Mary Davis was driving by the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta on Wednesday when she noticed a strange sight; camping tents strewn across the grass lawn in front of the Chick-Fil-A that is opening tomorrow.

Naturally, she asked me if I knew anything about it. I knew that next week, Chick-Fil-A is going to be giving away free breakfasts for registered patrons, but I didn't think (or at least I hoped) that people would be camped out five days in advance for a free breakfast.

Then Mary, in the tradition of great journalists like Edward R. Murrow, did some digging on her own and discovered that Chick-Fil-A gives one free meal a week for a year for the first 100 people that walk through the doors on the first day of a new store's life!

This I did not know, and I'm sure at least one or two other folks who read the site didn't know this either.

So, if you're the adventurous type or if you just really love Chick-Fil-A, pitch a tent outside the new store at the Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta tonight and try to be one of the first hundred through the doors tomorrow!
