Belk To Offer Free Mammogram Screenings in Canton

The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center will be available for women to use for free on April 22.

The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center will make a stop in Canton later this month to allow women to receive free mammogram screenings.

The 39-foot-long screening center on wheels will set up shop at Belk at 1447 RiverStone Parkway between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22.

The free, convenient mammogram screenings are available to women age 40 and over with no breast "concerns," who haven't had a mammogram in the last 12 months and have a primary care physician. These women can make an appointment by calling 855-655-BMMC (2662).

After receiving their mammograms, women also can visit the store's Intimate Apparel area to receive complimentary bra fittings.

All screening exams are performed by Charlotte Radiology’s licensed, female mammography-certified technologists. A board-certified radiologist, specialized in breast imaging will interpret the mammogram and confidential results will be sent to the patient and her primary care physician.
