·         Ants appear in droves when the spring season hits; often in kitchens and discarded trash cans. Avoid grossing out house guests with an ant-infested pantry by sealing foods like flour, dry cereals, candy and chocolates.

·         A bee sting can ruin a day of sports outside with the kids; make sure to check the perimeter of the roof of your home. If you do find a hive or wasp nest, removal is best left up to a pest control expert!

·         Aphids can be the demise of a beautiful garden. These tiny critters, known as plant lice, cause leaves to curl and yellow and can spread disease. Gardeners can use beneficial pests like ladybugs to eradicate aphids from their plants.
