Today is Election Day for House District 22

Four Republicans are running in the special election to fill the seat, which was vacated with the passing of Calvin Hill.

Voters in precincts that make up Georgia House District 22 will head to the polls today to decide who will represent them in the state House of Representatives.

Today is election day in the special election to fill the seat, which was vacated with the passing of Calvin Hill.

Four Cherokee Republicans — Meagan Biello, Jeff Duncan, Nate Cochran and Sam Moore — are all vying to become the next elected official to represent the district, which includes portion of Cherokee, Forsyth and north Fulton counties.

Cherokee precincts open to voters are: Avery, Ball Ground, Bradshaw, Conns Creek, Free Home, Hickory Flat, Hightower, Macedonia, Union Hill and Univeter. 

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. Check back with Patch this evening for the results.
