Residents Can Eat Pancakes to Help Animal Shelter

The Cherokee County Interact Club on Saturday will hold a Pancake Breakfast to benefit the Cherokee County Animal Shelter.

The Rotary Club of Canton is asking the public to come out and support Cherokee County Interact Club's Pancake Breakfast with Santa service project on Saturday.

The breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mimms Boys & Girls Club at 1082 Univeter Road in Canton.

Admission to the event is a donation of dry or canned dog or cat food, which will be given to the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. Financial donations will also be accepted.

Residents are also encouraged to bring their own cameras to take photos with Santa Claus or, if they prefer, they can purchase photos taken by a shelter volunteer.

After breakfast, Santa will travel by fire truck to the shelter where he will pose for photos with pets.

Sponsors for the event also are needed and for a donation of $25, you can sponsor a food or activity table. Along with recognition at a table, sponsors will be recognized on the Interact Club and Animal Shelter websites.
