Action Church To Open Warming Shelter Tonight

The Canton church will open its doors to provide shelter as temperatures are expected to drop into the upper teens tonight.

A Canton church will once again open its doors to those needing shelter from the cold blast expected to come into the area tonight.

Aciton Church will open up shop at 5 p.m. today. The church is located at 271 Marietta Road in Canton. Volunteers will be serving food at the church at 6:30 p.m.

The church has "more food and supplies than we can use so we don't need anything at this time," according to its Facebook page.

Temperatures tonight will drop to around 18 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The weekend will be dry, but also cold. Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high around 43 degrees. The winds will range between 10 and 15 miles per hour, with gusts reaching 25 miles per hour. The low for Saturday will be around 23 degrees.

Sunday will be sunny once again, with highs reaching to around 49 degrees and lows hovering around 30 degrees.
