The Cherokee Junior Warriors were awarded the 2012 & 2013 Georgia Middle School Athetic Association (GMSAA) Kick-Off Classic to start off the season with an event to bring teams and families together for a fun and exciting event.
Cherokee High School, Tommy Baker Field, will Host the event for Cherokee County for the next 2 seasons.
The following teams will be present with their 6th, 7th and 8th grade for the Jamboree type format:
River Ridge, Lassiter, Walton, Wheeler, Cambridge, Creekview, Lambert and Northview.
Cherokee will have a full game-like scrimmage with Seqouyah in the evening.
Cherokee vs. Sequoyah
6th: 3PM
7th: 5PM
8th: 7PM
There will be full concessions with cold drinks. Parking will be full so there will be transportation from the Boiling Park entrance for overflow parking up to the field and transportation between the Main Field and Practice for senior adults who need assistance.
Come watch the great Middle School event with great athletes to not only support Cherokee but to see the future stars of all the schools attending.

Cherokee High students can choose from 30 honors or advanced placement courses as well as dual-enrollment offerings at local colleges and universities. The school hosts seminars on college admissions and financial aid as well as SAT and ACT preparation. In 2010, ACT results in all areas were higher than the the state and national average.
