The ministry's new facility is more modern and will allow clients greater personal space and dignity than the current facility allows.
MUST Ministries Cherokee Program Services will soon be doing its work in a new home. Next month, the organization will relocate from its current headquarters at 141-B Marietta Rd. to a state-of-the-art facility at 111 Brown Industrial Pkwy. Construction on the new building is substantially complete. New furniture and electronic services are currently being installed at the new location. "The new building will help us assist our clients with more dignity and more effectively," said Cherokee Program Services Program Director Kendall Jones. "Bigger waiting area means more people can be served but also served safely." The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Cobb-Cherokee Career Center and Goodwill of North Georgia will co-sponsor a career expo Friday, April 19, according to a recent press release. The expo will feature employers who are currently hiring, as well as there to discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. Many homeowners - and potential homeowners - are unaware that the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) has made some changes to the fees charged for monthly Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) - and they could affect you. Read the FHA January 31 Mortgagee Letter 2013-04 outlining all the changes attached to this article as a PDF. Patch blogger Joe Dziewulski writes that both up front and monthly PMI premiums are going up. The Up Front Mortgage Insurance Premium (UFMIP) went from 1.10 percent to 1.75 percent last year. Beginning April 1, 2013, "FHA loans with 15 and 30 years fixed interest rate will see an increase of 1/10th of 1%, or $10 per $100,000 borrowed," Dziewulski writes.
