Wrestlers Compete This Weekend

Find out what's coming up on Canton-Sixes Patch today and what you might have missed overnight.

 

1. The City Council meets tonight at 6. We'll have live video coverage during the meeting, and make sure you check back Friday morning at 5 a.m. for a recap of the meeting.

2. Wrestlers from Cherokee and Creekview High Schools head to the state tournament on Thursday. The competition runs through the weekend.

3. State House District 21 candidate Scot Turner has raised $10,000 for his campaign, reaching his goal of hitting that mark by Valentine's Day. Turner has pledged not to take contributions from lobbyists, political action committees and non-Georgia residents. State Rep. Sean Jerguson, whom Turner will challenge, announced his bid for re-election.

5. Rain is expected again today. There is an 80 percent chance of showers with a high around 62 degrees. Tonight's predicted low is 39 degrees.
