Video: Garrison Celebrates Victory
Unofficial results showed the sheriff coasted to re-election on Tuesday.
Cherokee County Sheriff Roger Garrison took the stage Tuesday night moments after his landslide victory over challenger David Waters.
He thanked his wife, his son, the men and women in uniform and so many others who stood by him during "the toughest three months that we've ever endured in the past 20 years."
He didn't go into details about the Ku Klux Klan costume flap or the furor over the death of an Eagle Watch teen.
That wasn't what Tuesday night was about.
Tuesday's gathering at Sixes Tavern was about "celebrating this win," he said.
This term, his sixth, will be his last.

Time will tell! And after his huge victory in this last election, it appears that the majority of people in Cherokee County would be happy if he does wish to run again in another 4 years.
