Today, This Sign Comes Down

Packaged alcohol sales will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Canton.

 

Today is the first day of Sunday alcohol sales in Canton.

In November, Canton voters overwhelmingly endorsed a referendum in support of packaged alcohol sales in liquor stores, grocery stores and convenience stores on Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Thursday, the Canton City Council approved an ordinance that makes it legal—a step that Ball Ground, Woodstock and Cherokee County had already taken.

Canton will not charge a separate Sunday alcohol license fee for businesses.

So before you settle in front of the tube for some Sunday football, stop by these establishments and stock up on some brew.
