At 6pm Feb. 1, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider a ban on parking boots. Most of the complaints to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office have come from people who parked their cars in a private lot at Highway 92 and Bells Ferry Road. Should the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners - or any government entity - regulate what happens on private property?

Canton-Sixes Patch posed that question as well as others to customers and stylists at Barker-Jackson Master Barbers, which is located at Canton Marketplace.

Here's the buzz.

About this column: The barbershop and the salon are community spaces where people speak openly. On occasion, Canton-Sixes Patch will visit local establishments and ask people to chime in on the biggest news topic of that week.
Should the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners - or any government entity - be able to regulate what happens on private property? Should the parking boot get the boot? Tell us in the comments.
