Playful Dog Boasts Great Looks

While waiting for a home, Dixie stays busy practicing scent work and agility at the Cherokee County Animal Shelter.

 

Pet’s name: Dixie

Dixie’s age: About a year old

About Dixie: Dixie, a medium size dog, weighs about 40 pounds. She is listed as a hound and beagle mix. She has a brown, white and black coat that is short in length and requires minimal attention.

Dixie’s Vaccinations: Dixie has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative. She has had an initial flea/tick preventative and will be microchipped upon adoption.

Why Dixie would be a great addition to your family: Dixie has been at the Cherokee County Animal Shelter since the beginning of June. She is currently being kept busy through scent work and some agility training. Dixie is a happy girl. She's good with children and loves to play outdoors with other dogs.

How can I adopt Dixie: For more information, please call the Cherokee County Animal Shelter at 770-345-7270, option No. 2. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
