Roswell Student Wins $250K in Lottery - Roswell Patch
One Roswell college student received a jolt of cheer with news of a quarter-million dollar win from the Georgia Lottery. Ryan Barrett, 20, matched the first five numbers from the Nov. 6 Mega Millions drawing, winning a $250,000 prize.
Barrett, a sophomore studying computer science at Georgia Perimeter College, claimed his prize recently at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth. For more on this story, visit Roswell Patch.
Kennesaw Man Arraigned on Child Porn Charges - Kennesaw Patch
A Kennesaw man was arraigned in federal court in Atlanta on Monday on charges of production and possession of child pornography.
Benjamin Sanders, 55, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Nov. 13. He is being held without bond.
“Child pornography victimizes and exploits the most vulnerable and defenseless members of our society," United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said. APD Motorcycle Crash Outside Philips Arena After the Hawks Game - Cascade Patch
An APD Officer was involved in a crash after the Atlanta Hawks game on Monday night. At around 10 p.m. the female officers bike flipped at the intersection of Marietta Street and Spring Street, in downtown Atlanta.
Over a dozen officers were nearby directing traffic as the Philips Arena began to let out. They quickly rushed to the officers aid and began providing immediate assistance.
