From churches to government offices, here are a few closings to keep in mind:
- Churches. River Church will not meet today. The first service of the year will be held Jan. 8.
- Schools.
- Cherokee County School District staff returns on Monday, while students are expected back on Tuesday.
- Chattahoochee Technical College will be closed through Monday.
- Mail. The United States Postal Service will not deliver mail on Monday.
- Transportation. The Cherokee Area Transportation System observes New Year's Day.
- Libraries. The Sequoyah Regional Library will be closed today and reopen Monday.
- Government offices.
- City of Canton offices will be closed Monday.
- Cherokee County government offices will be closed Monday.
