Mexican music group Conjunto Rio Verde has created a "corrido," a story told through song, in tribute to slain Canton 7-year-old girl Jorelys Rivera.

Thanks to El Patron for posting the video on its Facebook page.

According to the caption, the video came out the same day that Jorelys' mother, Joselyn, helped launch the Jorelys Rivera Foundation to aid victims of similar crimes.

The translated lyrics include:

In the state of Georgia, no one could have known that the devil would come out and that a crime would occur.
Taking away the angel Jorelys Rivera—the small creature not guilty of anything.
She fell into murdering hands when it was least expected.
She was lost for many days, her mother desperate.
In a trashcan, they found her little body.
She had been cruelly killed, and for that reason, her body was thrown away there.
