1. Support Cherokee County elementary school artists this week. Their work is currently on display at the Cherokee Arts Center. Wednesday is the last day of the exhibit.

2. Applications for the four Cherokee science, technology, engineering and math academies and two fine arts academies that are slated to open this fall will be available on the school district's website starting on April 9, school district spokeswoman Barbara Jacoby said on Monday.
