A local children's dentist will be buying back excess Halloween candy and will be sending it to soldiers serving overseas.
The 4th Annual Halloween Candy Buy Back will be held at Cherokee Children's Dentistry on Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For every pound of leftover candy brought in, kids wil receive $1. There is a 5 lb. limit on candy returns.
Operation Gratitude will send the candy to our men and women serving overseas. Additionally, children can create cards expressing their gratitude which will be sent along with the candy.
"The Candy Buy Back is so important because it helps educate our children and teaches them not to consume so much sugar," said Dr. Anthea Mazzawi. "We know that the men and women overseas are brushing twice a day and flossing so we like to send the candy to them since it's a little piece of home!"
This years' candy buy back will only be held on Nov. 1

These 2 are the coolest dentists around. We've been going to them for years. My son wants to be a dentist because of them.
