Canton Historic Downtown Loop has announced the winners of the 2012 Great Scarecrow Contest.

A bevy of scarecrows lined Main Street all month, representing various Canton businesses, organizations and families. All of them were creative and brought some welcome fall color to the area.

Without further ado, here are the winners of the contest:

3rd Place: "Big Buck and Little Penny" - Cherokee Bank - $25 prize

2nd: Place: "Mother and Daughter" - Christine Copeland - $50 prize

And the grand prize winner is...

"Kandy Korn" - Fowler Insurance! - $100 prize

Winners may pick up their checks at Yawn's Books.
