Get Out: What's Going On Around Cherokee This Weekend

Here's a roundup of events happening around your neighborhood this weekend.

No plans this weekend? Then check out our list below!

  • Elm Street Arts will host Teen Arts Night, sponsored by the Teen Arts Guild (TAG). Teens can bring their guitar, karaoke CD, poetry, artwork and short stories to share with other like-minded teens. The event will start Friday at 6 p.m. and tickets are $5, which pays for pizza and soda during intermission.
  • You can still recycle your Christmas tree! Residents can drop their trees off at several locations on Saturday and Sunday. Click here to see a list of locations.
  • Elm Street Arts will also host Big Bang Swing with Joe Gransden Sunday at 2 p.m. at its theatre at 8534 Main Street. Tickets are $12 if purchased in advanced, but are $15 at the door.

We'll be at The Home Depot Kid's Workshop tomorrow morning. It's fun, free and hands on. They do it the first Saturday of every month.
