Donate to Save a Pet
This month, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services will be participating in the “Project Breathe” program.
Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services hopes to raise enough money this month to outfit each of its "first-out" trucks with oxygen mask kits.
During the month of September, the department is participating in the "Project Breathe" donation program to provide pet oxygen mask kits to first responders. For every kit purchased through donations, Invisible Fence by Peachtree, which started the program, will donate one kit.
"Our overall goal is to raise enough money for roughly 15 kits," Cherokee County firefighter Erik Mork said. "I'd like each "first-out" fire truck in the county to carry one kit. The masks are compatible with our supplemental oxygen equipment and are reusable."
Project Breathe donation boxes are available in the following locations:
- Free Home Animal Hospital
- Hickory Flat Animal Hospital
- Animal Hospital of West Woodstock
- South Cherokee Veterinary Hospital
- Woodstock Veterinary Hospital

- Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital
- Olde Towne Animal Hospital
