Cherokee, Creekview Scholars Named

They scored at or above the 90th percentile on the Grade 11 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

 

More than 120 Cherokee County School District students were named Superintendent’s 2012 Key Scholars, a designation given to students who score at or above the 90th percentile on the Grade 11 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. During a ceremony at River Ridge High School, these whiz kids received a school district certificate of achievement and a letter jacket patch. They will also be honored at their school’s year-end awards ceremony.

Way to go! This is awesome! Why is it that I only hear from other people how bad Cherokee High School is academically? I don't keep completely up-to-date (my oldest is only in 2nd grade) but I've heard plenty of good things!
