Updated 11:45 p.m.

It didn't take Cherokee County sheriff's deputies long to catch the man they believe to be the third person involved in Friday afternoon's burglary.

Three Canton menβ€”Brandon Terrel, 22, Dennis Karimi, 23, and Kai Williams, 18β€”are being held in the Cherokee jail under an $11,200 bond on a burglary charge, Lt. Jay Baker said in a news release Friday night.

The three are accused of trying to break into a house on Keeter Road.

A neighbor saw three men placing a ladder against the house from the backyard and called 911, Baker said. Deputies arrived while the men were still trying to get into the house, and the trio fled.

Deputies chased down two of the men, the Sheriff's Office news release said, and detectives found the third later in the afternoon.
