Actress Jennifer Garner Coming to Canton
The Golden Globe Award winning actress will be on location for "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."
Actress Jennifer Garner is coming to Canton.
According to the film’s official press release, it is based on a story by Ahmet Zappa, directed by Pete Hedges (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape). It is a fantasy fable featuring the actors as Cindy and Jim Green, a married couple “who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like.” A young Timothy Green (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep in the small fictional town of Stanleyville to help them “discover a whole new view on what it is to love and be loved.”
The exact locations in Canton have not been confirmed. Filming on other metro Atlanta sites has already taken place and will continue in the following counties: Walton, Coweta, Morgan and Cherokee. From February 8 to 11, the cast and crew was at the Forrest Hills Elementary School in Decatur, which has been closed since 2008.
Claire Raskind, the film’s publicist, said she will confirm the details for Canton as the March 14 date draws nearer. Raskind declined to comment on the actors’ appearance for this story due to security reasons.
The film’s official date of release is not yet available.
Hedges is a novelist, screenwriter and director who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for About a Boy. Actor Tim Ware, an Atlanta native, is also slated to appear in the film.
