Teasley Student Takes Top Prize

Teasley Middle School students Caleb Blair and Korie Duc recently represented their school and the Cherokee County School District at the Optimist Club Deaf and Hard of Hearing Georgia District Contest in Warner Robins. Caleb Blair won first place in the state in the signing category and was awarded a $2,500 college scholarship.

“Both students faced very tough opponents and did a fantastic job,” said Susan Zinkil, the school's principal. “We are very proud of our Raiders.”

Caleb also plays on Teasley’s middle school basketball team and is often a starter.
